MEDIA INFORMATIN LITERACY

Media is the plural form of medium, which (broadly speaking) describes any channel of communication. This can include anything from printed paper to digital data, and encompasses art, news, educational content and numerous other forms of information

FORMS OF MEDIA :

*Print media
*Broadcast media
*New media

Print media
-refers to paper publication includes of; facebook,books, magazines,newspaper,journal,billboards,and etc. that considered the”old media”

Broadcast media
-includes radio and television which help distribute information worldwide, television as the primary source of both news

New media
-includes of;facebook,tweeter,instagram,youtube,gmail,ect.
-compose of media that use digital technologies that use to spread information

TRADITIONAL MEDIA AND NEW MEDIA

TRADITIONAL MEDIA
-are those transmit information without the use of internet or any digital platforms,also known “mass media”for their ability to simultaneously disseminate information to a very large group of people
-technology simply did not allow for a true multi-directional flow of information,always the information goes from the sender to the receiver.

NEW MEDIA
-new media is on demand most especially in this generation that we belong , they focused on improving how quickly a message can be sent,how far it can be sent and the number of people it can be sent.new media allowed people to access information when they want, where they want that allowed us to instantly react,comment and share.information no longer flow in one direction that can send out information in our friends and followers
-new media also called “open media”this openness makes information extremely fast to deliver

media is important to our daily life but despite of this we need to learn how to use it properly that the media is use to access information not to destroys others dignity, if we know that the news is fake we don’t need to spread it more, that only thing the we need to do is balance for using new technology for get information and spreading information,”BE WISE AND KIND EVERY TIME

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
